LEADERSHIP

Zoltan Papp
Zoltan Papp is the GM of LB Houston. A former ITF junior world No. 96 and Hungary No. 1, he was a D-I athlete at Baylor, earning Male Athlete of the Year. He served as an ATP Tour Manager for Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic and directed the Irving Tennis Classic. He previously won the ClubCorp Rising STAR Award while teaching at Brookhaven.

Andrew Frye
Andrew Frye is the Director of Adult Tennis. A Dallas native, he reached No. 1 in Texas and No. 25 nationally in doubles. He competed on the ITF Junior and ATP Challenger Tours before coaching at Canyon Creek, Stonebridge Ranch, The Courts of McKinney, and Gleneagles. He focuses on technical fundamentals and growing USTA and TCD programming.

Andrea Manrique
Director of Pickleball. Originally from San Cristóbal, Venezuela, Andrea was a member of the Táchira State National Team in Basque Pelota (Frontenis) at age 14. Now a professional pickleball player and coach with multiple tournament wins. Known for a structured coaching style, strong on-court presence, and passion for building an inclusive community centered on fundamentals, strategy, and confidence.
INSTRUCTORS & COACHES

Károly György (Karl)
Budapest native Karoly Gyorgy trained in Germany under the program that produced Boris Becker. He reached ATP rankings of 490 in singles and 410 in doubles. His coaching highlights include an ITF Australian Open title with Aniko Kapros and a second-place ITF Team World Championship finish. He specializes in match strategy and technique.

Kyle Apperson
Dedicated tennis coach with 19 years of high school coaching in Texas. Known for a holistic approach that blends physical fitness, mental toughness, and tactical intelligence. Loves teaching doubles and celebrated a Texas state title with his Grapevine High School girls' doubles team in 2024, who also train at LB Houston.

Vladimir Orellana (Vlad)
Native of Lara State, Venezuela who started tennis at age 6. Ranked 2nd in his state, 8th regionally, and 16th nationally as a junior. Competed on national teams and international COSAT junior tournaments with titles in singles and doubles. Since relocating to Dallas has expanded into pickleball, coaching and competing professionally with Kurt Lau.

Kurt Lau
Longtime tennis player who consistently ranked among the top juniors in his state, with numerous singles and doubles titles. Transitioned to coaching in 2018 at his home club, then moved to Miami and Minnesota where he fell in love with pickleball for its social, strategic style of play.
