Alex Maldonado
(Director)
With over 14 years of management experience in both tennis and pickleball, Alex Maldonado is a passionate leader, coach, and community builder in the racquet sports world. He holds professional certifications from the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) in both tennis and pickleball, as well as a USTA certification as a Tournament Director.
Alex served as the Tournament Director for the prestigious Billie Jean King Cup for the ITF in November 2024 and has coached some of the world’s top tennis athletes and elite junior pickleball players. His mission is to grow the game by making racquet sports more accessible, helping players lead healthier lifestyles, and building strong, inclusive communities through both sports.

Becky Pohlen
(Tennis Professional)
Although born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Becky has lived in the Dallas, Texas
area most of her life. She started playing tennis at the age of 14 as the
result of a birthday gift. She played varsity high school tennis and attended
junior college on a combined academic and tennis scholarship. She
continued to play varsity tennis after transferring to North Texas State
University (now UNT). After finishing college, she continued to play tennis
at the 4.5 level.
Becky has a B.S. and a M.S. degree in physical education. Her full time
career was teaching elementary physical education in Richardson ISD. In
addition, she was a part time instructor in the Physical Education Division
at Eastfield College. During her career, Becky also taught tennis at Kiest
Tennis Center, Fretz Tennis Center, and was the manager of the Tennis
Center at Samuell Grand for several years.
Becky is blessed to have four children, all adults now, and one delightful
granddaughter. She is an active member of Woodcreek Church in
Richardson. Becky loves to spend time with friends and family and still
enjoys playing tennis!
